These Terms govern use of ShiftStay. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use ShiftStay. You are responsible for providing accurate account, profile, assignment, housing, and review information and for keeping your account secure.
What ShiftStay is
ShiftStay is a matching, community, marketplace, and housing-discovery platform designed around traveling professionals. Unless expressly stated otherwise, ShiftStay is not a landlord, real-estate broker, employer, staffing agency, background-check company, escrow provider, insurer, or guarantor of any member, property, transaction, relationship, or outcome.
Housing and payments between members
Members must independently evaluate properties, roommates, owners or managers, leases, deposits, payment instructions, local laws, and personal safety before committing. Do not send money merely because a profile, listing, badge, review, or conversation appears on ShiftStay.
Premium and listing fees
Premium features and paid property listings are optional. Recurring Premium plans renew according to the billing interval shown at checkout until canceled. A recurring plan can be scheduled to cancel at the end of its current billing period. Lifetime Premium is a one-time purchase and does not renew. Property-listing activation periods and prices are shown before checkout.
Reviews, community content, and conduct
Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and should be factual. Do not post harassment, threats, discriminatory content, impersonation, fraud, private medical or financial information, or content that violates another person’s rights. ShiftStay may restrict or remove content or accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, integrity, legal compliance, or enforcement of these Terms.
Verification
Automated identity verification may use Stripe Identity to check a government identification document and, with your consent, compare a live selfie to the document photo. Manual review is available as an alternative. A verification badge means only that the specific verification process described by ShiftStay was completed at that time. It is not a background check or a guarantee of character, current licensure, employment, housing quality, financial reliability, compatibility, or safety.
Dating mode
Dating mode is optional and for adults only. ShiftStay does not perform compatibility guarantees or personal background checks merely because a member uses Dating mode. Use ordinary online-dating safety practices and meet in public until you are comfortable.
Fair housing and non-discrimination
Members offering housing are responsible for complying with applicable fair-housing, anti-discrimination, licensing, tax, and rental laws. ShiftStay tools may not be used to facilitate unlawful housing discrimination.
Account suspension and deletion
You may stop using ShiftStay at any time and can access account-deletion controls from Account Security. ShiftStay may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, suspected fraud, abuse, safety risks, or legal requirements.
Service availability
We work to keep ShiftStay available and accurate, but features may change and interruptions can occur. You are responsible for maintaining copies of leases, receipts, payment records, and other documents you may need independently of ShiftStay.
