This notice explains the main categories of information ShiftStay uses to operate its traveler, housing, community, review, and Premium features.
Information you provide
This can include account details, date of birth for age eligibility, traveler profile information, assignment and facility details, photos, roommate and Dating preferences, housing listings, marketplace listings, messages, reviews, verification requests, safety reports, and support information.
Public and member-visible information
Information you place on a discoverable traveler profile, active housing or marketplace listing, or published review may be visible to other members and, depending on the feature, may be visible publicly. Avoid posting information you do not want shared in that context.
Private communications
Messages are intended for authorized conversation participants and are protected through account authentication and database access rules. Safety, fraud, abuse, or legal investigations may require authorized access to relevant records.
Payments
Stripe processes ShiftStay Premium and property-listing payments. ShiftStay stores transaction identifiers and membership/listing status needed to provide paid features, but the application is not designed to store your full payment-card number.
Flexible rent links and screening preferences
When you follow a Livble link, Livble and your supported rent portal handle any application and rent-payment information under their own terms. ShiftStay does not attach your profile information to that link. Opening the link does not confirm a rent payment in ShiftStay.
You can save a private preferred background-screening interval, renewal preference, and eligible snooze setting. Saving these settings does not order a background check or authorize collection of a report. Background screening is not active in this release. Preferences are protected by your account's access rules and are removed with account deletion. Any future screening service will require its own disclosures and applicable authorization before collection.
Identity verification and biometric information
If you choose automated identity verification, Stripe Identity may collect a government identification document, photograph or video selfie, document details, and—with your express consent—biometric identifiers used to compare your live image with the identification photo and detect spoofing. Stripe presents its own consent and privacy disclosures before collection. ShiftStay receives verification status, a provider reference, and limited results needed to administer the badge; facial scans are not stored in ShiftStay profile storage. Manual non-biometric review remains available for members who do not choose facial matching.
How information is used
We use information to provide matching, housing and marketplace discovery, messaging, reviews, Premium features, account security, fraud and abuse prevention, moderation, support, service reliability, and legal compliance.
Age eligibility
ShiftStay is intended for adults age 18 and older. Date of birth is used for age eligibility and may support age-based matching features.
Service providers
ShiftStay relies on service providers for functions such as hosting, authentication/database services, payments, identity verification, maps/location features, and email delivery. These providers process data according to their roles in delivering the service.
Retention and deletion
You can permanently delete your account from Account Security. Active account data associated with your account is removed through the deletion workflow, and recurring Premium billing is stopped first when applicable. Some payment, security, fraud-prevention, legal, or backup records may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally required.
Your choices
You may edit profile information, control connection modes, block members, report concerns, dispute eligible reviews, manage Premium, enable two-factor authentication, sign out other sessions, and request account deletion.
